A local town council plans to ask their District Council to build a permanent replacement block to serve the town and its market traders, a recent news report in the local media has been able to reveal.

An outdated toilet block in North Walsham was demolished in 2012 as part of plans to redevelop both shop and toilets, but those plans did not come to fruition. Unfortunately, the town has also lost the use of a temporary block placed in the Vicarage Road car park.

Now the North Walsham Town Council is to ask North Norfolk District Council for a permanent replacement block to serve the town and its market traders.

It will also ask the district council to set up a “disabled persons’ comfort scheme” in the townm which would involve businesses offering toilet facilities for use by people with disabilities.

Since the public toilets’ operational costs can be quite significant at times, charging a fee for access is the most sensible solution when it comes to public toilets’ funding, and this is exactly where Toilet Turnstiles could really puts its experience to good work.

Our toilet turnstiles are built from graded stainless steel, for easier cleaning and maintenance, and also come equipped with lockable lids to prevent unwanted access. Furthermore, the separate coin box offers very versatile mounting options, as it can be installed either in front of the turnstile, at the side or alternatively, on the wall, with the cash box at the rear.

The turnstile’s coin mechanism can be programmed for virtually any combination of coins with a secure cash box to hold them, while the additional counters for the number of entries made will enable a thorough level of control over the system’s operation.
