A councillor has commented on a scheme which allows London shoppers to use toilet facilities. Councillor Colin Hall, executive member for environment and climate change, said of the arrangement in Sutton: "We know how important it is to have access to clean and accessible toilet facilities while out and about, particularly for older people and parents with small children.” The council has reviewed the community toilet scheme, so as many shops as possible are allowing access to toilets.
Coin operated turnstiles from Toilet Turnstiles enable councils to keep their toilet facilities open as the nominal entry charge pays for the general maintenance of the building. Turnstiles are manufactured from 304 or 316 grade stainless steel for ease of cleaning and maintenance and the bodies have lockable lids. Half height toilet turnstiles provide an unobtrusive method of controlling access to your toilet facilities. Styled in a tripod design, they enable high traffic volumes and can be installed at prestige access points and in either interior or exterior installations.
