A survey of toilet users by Soap Supplier has managed to find the best and worst rated toilets across the whole of the UK. Unfortunately, the worst ranking public conveniences were the ones in Lisburn in Northern Ireland, followed closely by Southampton and Portsmouth.

Users said they dished out low ratings for bad smells, no toilet roll, no mirrors, no soap, toilets that don’t flush and broken hand dryers.

The best were in Worcester, with a sparkling rating of 6.7 out of 10. Edinburgh came in second with a hygiene score of 5.6 out of 10, and Wolverhampton was third with a score of 4.8 out of 10.

Nick Story for Soap Supplier says: ‘With the help of our infographic map now you know what to expect before you head off on your next road trip, and the that next time nature calls, remember that the stall in the middle is likely to be the cleanest.’

While Toilet Turnstile can’t help with the level of cleanliness within public toilets, we can certainly improve their security and monetization options.

Our toilet turnstiles are built from graded stainless steel, for easier cleaning and maintenance, and also come equipped with lockable lids to prevent unwanted access.

Furthermore, the separate coin box offers very versatile mounting options, as it can be installed either in front of the turnstile, at the side or alternatively, on the wall, with the cash box at the rear.

The turnstile’s coin mechanism can be programmed for virtually any combination of coins with a secure cash box to hold them, while the additional counters for the number of entries made will enable a thorough level of control over the system’s operation.
