A pensioners’ group has lambasted a council for not heeding its views on the future of public toilets in its borough. A total of 16 public toilets are threatened, of which four have already been closed, in the London borough of Redbridge. There have been reassurances from cabinet members that there are no imminent plans to sell-off any buildings. A representative from the pensioners said: “They have to remember that us pensioners vote and our views are important.”
