The opening hours of five toilets under jurisdiction of a council need to be reviewed due to uncertainty surrounding their funding. The hours of the manned toilets at the market town of Welshpool on the England/Wales border have been changed to 7.30am-3pm. Councillor Geraint Hopkins pointed out a number of free to use public toilets through partnerships with local businesses are also offered, adding: “Due to the uncertainty of the Welsh Government’s public facilities grant scheme, we decided to review how we currently provide [the toilets].”
If public toilets in your area are having their funding cut, then Toilet Turnstiles can help. Local Authorities can still provide Public Conveniences to a good standard by adding our Coin Operated Turnstiles. These are manufactured from graded stainless steel for ease of cleaning and maintenance. Generous revenues can be generated from the turnstiles to maintain the Toilets. The coin mechanism can be programmed for virtually any combination of coins with a secure cash box to increase security.
