A row has erupted between residents of a small village in North Yorkshire and the local authority over the decision to demolish the public toilets in the area, a recent news report on this matter has been able to reveal.

Campaigner Malcolm Dowson has said they are vitally needed for visitors and market traders, while local authorities claim that the public conveniences are an eyesore and need to be removed.
