Public toilets in Oxford have been officially acknowledged as being Britain’s best kept ones as part of the 2015 Loo of the Year Awards, a news source can reveal.

After £600,000 of council investment saved the city’s toilets from closure, 10 of their public facilities were handed the top accolade in the 2015 Loo of the Year Awards.

A spokesman for Oxford City Council said today: “It’s official, Oxford now has some of the best public toilets in the country. Oxford residents can now proudly say we live not only amongst the dreaming spires but also the gleaming latrines.”
