The existing toilets in several South Norfolk towns such as Diss, Loddon, Wymondham and Harleston are set to be replaced by much more modern public conveniences, a news article in the local media can reveal.
Following a series of consultation with local businesses, South Norfolk Council decided that the state and cleanliness of public conveniences was paramount for increasing footfall across the aforementioned market towns.
For the time being, consultations are still taking place with parish and town council to determine their exact aspirations, which will not be decided until next week.
“Toilets are an essential part of the shopping centre and we feel that keeping our market towns up to scratch with modern facilities that are convenient and comfortable to use and are always available when people need them is an important investment,” South Norfolk Council John Fuller commented.
