Seventy year old Peter Wells, a convicted drug dealer, has now been told he must hand over £632,400 under proceeds of crime legislation, having been unable to account for the origin of the money. Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court, which heard the seizure of assets application from Kent Police, was told Wells was stopped for a minor traffic offence. Following his arrest on discovery of £80,000 in cash and further investigation, the big-money stash was found.
