A councillor has criticised slow progress on the re-opening of a public toilet block situated in the Lake District. Copeland Borough Council’s talks for the takeover of the block, which shut on April 1, are stalling. Councillor Brian Crawford, a member of Millom Town Council, said: “What message is this giving to tourists? As soon as you come in to Millom you see signs that are missing, closed toilets and empty shops with their signs above it.”
