“I’m embarrassed,” was the reaction of a man caught writing abusive messages on toilet doors. James Allen appeared unrepresented at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court in the north of England after he was caught in the act by an undercover officer from British Transport Police investigating the series of defacements of the facility. When asked to explain his actions to magistrates, he said he had nothing to tell them. “I’m just embarrassed about it,” was Allen’s reply.
