public toilets will close Manchester Mount StreetA mass closure of public toilets is one of several drastic measures taken by Manchester City Council as a way of clearing its budget deficit. The council has this week detailed its £109m saving cuts plan over the next financial year, and said the cuts were forced on the city. All public toilets will close under the cuts, except those on Mount Street, and swimming pools at Levenshulme and Miles Platting will shut.

Local authorities who are feeling financial pressure can still provide public conveniences to a good standard and generate revenue for their general day to day maintenance with Toilet Turnstiles’ coin operated turnstiles. They are manufactured from graded stainless steel for ease of cleaning and maintenance and are duty cycle rated for intensive use. Styled in a tripod design, both single and double half height turnstiles are available, allowing you to double your throughput while keeping the amount of space used by the turnstile to a minimum. Both interior and exterior installations are available.
