Public toilets across Bridgend County Borough will close in the near future as the local authority is hard pressed to find the funds required to run them, a recent news report in the local media has been able to find.

The Council’s cabinet approved the closure plans following a public consultation exercise.

The council will continue to look after facilities which it said received the greatest support. facilities are accessible and in areas with the greatest footfall. However, the authority has urged local businesses and local councils to step up and take over the costs associated to the public conveniences in order to keep them open.
