The new public toilets in Wyndham Way car park in Portishead were targeted by vandals over the New Year’s Eve, who caused hundreds of pounds of damage, a news report in the local media has recently revealed.

The public toilets were re-opened in November after being taken over by the town council and given a £65,000 refurbishment. The damaged toilet will remain closed until repairs can be completed, but the destruction could actually now put a threat to the 24-hour opening of the toilets.
